APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from September 22, 2021. Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr.Crouch; motion passed 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: 1. Les Merkley-Request for approval of Employee Vehicle Policy and Procedures—Mr. Merkley presented the updated policy. This has not been updated since 2010. We may need to tweak this as we move along but this is a good'starting point. Mr.Waiz made a motion to approve the policy and Mr.Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0. 2. Josh Lynch/Scott McVoy-Request for approval of road closures for a Public Safety Full Scale Exercise on Friday, October 1 from 7:00 am to 11:30 am as follows: For the counter terrorism training that will be on Friday—Assistant Chief McVoy said this is for a multi-agency counter terrorism training. This will be a live exercise and there will be a detour posted. This will affect the following roads and he will email them to be updated on the City Webpage: Riverside Drive from Wall Street to Clark Street Pearl Street from Riverside Drive to the flood wall Spring Street from Riverside Drive to the flood wall No Parking,on Riverside Drive from Wall Street to Pearl Street Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the road closures and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0. Len Ashack-Request for approval of road closure on Jackson Street from Charlestown Avenue East to Park Place East from October 4th,2021 through October 14,2021(will be open to local traffic)- Mr.Ashack stated this is phase two and should be done by October 14th. Mr.Waiz made a motion to approve the closure and Mr.Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0. ADJOURNMENT: Mayor Moore said tomorrow night Jeff goes to Floyd Central for girls volleyball and he will be there for that. Friday night Jeff plays New Albany in football which means bad news for the Highlanders and the Bull Dogs. Steamboat Nights is this Friday and Saturday from 7:00-11:00 and he hopes everyone is able to come out.
