MINUTES
August 25,2021

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the.Mayor's Conference Room
in City Hall: Bill Dixon will be serving on the board in place of Rob Waiz today.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from August 18,2021.
' : Mr. Dixon seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0.
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve payroll, seconded by Mr. Dixon; motion
passed 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Mr. Crouch advised the board tabled placing stop signs on Pinewood last week. Jeremy Neff went
out and did place temporary stop signs and it did not back traffic up on Utica Sellersburg Road.
Mayor Moore stated he needs Police and Mr.Crouch out there to look at the issue before it is
approved. Mr.Crouch made an issue to table the matter,seconded by Mr. Dixon; motion passed 3-
0.
Mayor Moore requested that this be on the agenda for.next week so they can get this matter
wrapped up.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Larry Wallace-Request for approval of 2 lawn service agreements between Code Enforcement
and the following: Mr.Wallace said this is for service agreements for Eric Miller who works for
Vehicle Maintenance and then he has Trenton Guthrie, he would like to add them to the lawn
service agreements.
• Guthrie Lawn Service,LLC,Trenton Guthrie
• J &J Lawn Service, Eric Miller
Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the agreements and Mr. Dixon seconded the motion;
motion passed 3-0. ,
Mr. Merkley-advised Mr.Wallace that since Eric Miller works for Vehicle Maintenance he will need
to file a Conflict of Interest Statement with the board.
2. Stephanie Miller-Request for approval-of Final Change Order#3 between the City and MAC
Construction for the 2020 Paving—Ms. Miller stated the Street Department is requesting that the
final change order be approved for the 2020 Paving contract. Mr. Crouch advised this is a negative
change order for around $60,000.

Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the change order and Mr. Dixon seconded the motion;
motion passed 3-0.
3. Andy Crouch-Request for approval of road closure on Utica Sellersburg Road at Shungate Road on
August 29,2021—Mr. Crouch stated that Excel Excavating is working on Utica Sellersburg Road and
they need to close completely in order to do utility work. They are asking for closure from 7:30-
3:30.They are requesting closure for 8 hours but they anticipate it taking less than 4 hours. They
have a detour route that goes up Shungate for this closure.
Mr. Dixon made a motion to approve the closure and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion
passed 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
Ms. Miller adv. ed that Jeremy Neff requested her to relay that the locates requested for the
Children at P ay signs in Blanchel Terrace are ready to go.
With no u her usiness, r. Crouch made a motion to adjourn at 9:35 a.m.
