TERMS OF AGREEMENT:
The contractor chosen agrees to the following:
• Clean and prepare the wall for painting.
• To paint the design agreed upon by the jury.
• To use appropriate materials to allow for a durable outdoor mural.
• Complete the project(to acceptable level of technical skill)by September 25,20201-timeline may be adjusted at
the discretion of the Public Art Administrator in discussion with the contractor.
• Provide the city with a W9(Public Art Administrator will email this to you ifyou do not have one readily available)
• Provide invoices for payments to the Public Art Administrator on behalf of the City
• To release ownership of the mural after completion of the mural.
• To have their name/business name released in media releases,press or other materials related to the mural.
• To have their photograph released in media releases,press or other materials related to the mural.
• Stipend will be$5,000 for services rendered I A payment of$1,000 will be made in advance to help cover
materials cost for the mural.The remaining$4,000 dollars of the stipend will be paid after the successful
completion of the performances and activities described above.Check to be mailed to the contractor no later
than three weeks after the successful completion to be determined by the Public Art Administrator.
The city agrees to the following:
• Provide the support and feedback of the Public Art Administrator
• Provide the contractor access to the NoCo arts center during the contracted timeline for rest and materials
storage.
• Provide the contractor a step-stool/ladder/paper towels/water and other tools not described at the discretion of
the Public Art Administrator,if requested by the contractor.
INDEMNIFICATION;
Contractor agrees to indemnify and hold the City of Jeffersonville and its officers,agents,and employees,harmless from
all suits,claims,or damages,including reasonable attorney's fees arising out of or resulting from activities under this
agreement conducted by Contractor or Contractor's agents.The provisions of this section shall survive the expiration or
earlier termination of this agreement.
