MINUTES
July 14,2021

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:31 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room
in City Hall. '
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve the minutes from July 7, 2021. Mr.
Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0.
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr.Crouch made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr.Waiz; motion
passed 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Heather Metcalf-Request for approval of Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund-Request for
Payment—Mr. Merkley stated this is request for payment for us to receive Covid money,the ARP
money that we are receiving in the amount of 10.8 million dollars. We will get.one half now and
the other half later.
Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the Corona Virus local fiscal recovery fund request for
payment and Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed 3=0.
2. Ted Newton with MAC Construction-Request for approval of road closure at 10th Street and
,Spring Street on July 19,2021 and July 20,2021 for milling and paving—Mr. Newton said they are
going to be paving the intersection of 10th Street and Spring Street and they are requesting to close
that from 7 pm until 6 am. Mayor Moore said he appreciated them working around that to close
the street at night. Chief Kavanaugh said they have the information at JPD and will work around it.
Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the road closure and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion
passed 3-0.
3. Les Merkley-Request for approval of(2)two contracts between the City and Promedia Group
regarding launching and managing of the City of Jeff Live Streaming and launching and managing
of City of Jeff City and Departmental Zoom calls for Facebook Live Streaming—Mr. Merkley stated
there are two contracts for approval with Promedia. Both of them are in regards to the live
streaming of public meetings to social media. The first one will be backdated to March 6,2020 that

is when the Governor issued his first State of Emergency that allowed for virtual meetings. We
never had an agreement in writing with Promedia so this will clear that issue up.
Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the contract dated March 6, 2020 with Promedia and Mr.
Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0.
Mr. Merkley stated the second agreement is dated July 1, 2021 and this will be the new plan where
Promedia will stream all the meetings except the day meetings(Sewer Board and Board of Public
Works)which will be done internally.
Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the contract dated July 1,2021 with Promedia and Mr.Waiz
seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0.
4. Shawn Grant—Update of JFD Standard Operating Policies—Mr.Sharp stated they Board
previously approved a contract to update the JFD Standard Operating Policies and this is the
finished product. A copy will be provided to the Clerks Office.
Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the Standard Operating Policies and Mr.Waiz seconded the
motion; motion passed 3-0.
Mayor Moore wished JFD Chief Grant a happy birthday and thanked the JFD for their assistance
with the fire at the Jeffersonville Tumbleweed last night.
ADJOURNMENT:
With no f her business, Mr.Crouch made a motion to adjourn at 9:39 a.m.
