MINUTES
June 23,2021

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Miles made the motion to approve the minutes from June 16,2021. Mr.
Waiz seconded the motion; roll call vote: Mr. Miles—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed
3-0.
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr. Miles. Roll call
vote: Mr. Miles—yes; Mr.Waiz-yes; Mayor Moore-yes; motion passed 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
Andy Crouch—yes Frank with Louisville Paving is here to request street closures.8th Street closures from
Penn up to Howard to allow for sanitary sewer. Once we finish with sanitary sewer we will begin with
storm sewer. So there is no timeline on this project as of right now. Mr. Crouch made motion to approve
closure,seconded by Mr. Miles,all in favor, motion carried 3-0.
We are looking to add more crews to this project,we apologize for any problems but would like to close 8th
Street from Ewing Lane to Martha. Closure will be in place until middle to late August. Mayor Moore states
we need to quit using Perrin Lane as a detour route, it is a small road and the people living on that street
are getting upset that we always use Perrin as a detour route. We will not use Perrin Lane unless we have
no other option. Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve closure, seconded by Mr. Miles, all in favor, motion.
carried 3-0.
Special presentation by Mayor Moore to Jorge Lanz for all his years working with the City. Jorge was always
willing to go beyond what was expected from him. We hope you have a great retirement.

With no furt er business, Mr. Crouch made a motion to adjourn at 9:15 a.m.
