ORDINANCE AMENDING AND PARTIALLY REPEALING THE
JEFFERSONVILLE ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, Indiana
repealing and amending
excluding zone maps; and,
Code 36-7-4-607 authorizes partial
of an existing zoning ordinance,
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Plan Commission has conducted
a public hearing as required by applicable law on a new zoning
document entitled "City of Jeffersonville, Zoning Code,
August 1, 1990", which document was certified with a favorable
recommendation by the Plan Commission at its regular meeting
subsequent to the public hearing on January 29, 1991; and,
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-7-4-607(e)(1) provides that~"after
such certification of a favorable recommendation by the Plan
Commission the Common Council may adopt, reject, or amend the
proposed zoning ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
has given notice under Indiana Code 5-14-1.5-5 of its intention
to consider the proposal at its regular meeting on March 4,
1991. ~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville that it hereby adopts the proposed
zoning ordinance as certified by the Plan Commission of the
City of Jeffersonville on January 29, 1991, the text of which
is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein.
