CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room
in City Hall.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from June 2, 2021.
Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0.
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr.Crouch; motion
passed 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Andy Crouch for Louisville Paving-Update on request for approval of road closure at Ewing Lane
and Perrin Lane extended through June 18,2021(from June 2,2021) Mr. Crouch stated Louisville
Paving has two projects going on right now that they have requests for: A representative from
Louisville Paving explained the requests. The first is a,closure of Utica Pike at Ewing lane from June
21st to July 9th.
Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the request and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion
passed 3-0.
The representative stated the second request was to request an extension of the closure of 8th
Street from Walnut to 10th Street.
Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the request and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion
passed 3-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Mayor Mike-Swearing in of New Firefighters—Mayor Moore stated there are 3'new firefighters
here to be sworn in. Mayor Moore congratulated the new firefighters. As of today,all new
firefighters have started duty.
2. Chad Reischl-Request for approval of contract between the City and Schneider Geospatial,LLC—
Mr. Reischl stated this is a contract that will provide the software and the programming that will
move the Planning Department and the Building Commission to an online permitting system.
-Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the contract and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion
passed 3-0.

Mayor Moore stated he was going to add something to the agenda.A couple of months ago we had
a crisis with a City employee who didn't show up for work and a couple of our City employees
became very concerned and began making some phone calls concerning the,matter. Mayor Moore
recognized Trevor Jones as a long time City employee who was present at the meeting. Mayor
Moore then presented Kevin Morlan and Paul McGhee with award for going above the call. Mayor
Moore read the plaques presented to both Mr. Morlan and Mr. McGhee and thanked them for
their dedication that resulted in saving the life of a fellow Jeffersonville employee.
3. Chase Scott with MAC Construction-Request for approval.of road closure on Chestnut Street from
Watt Street to Meigs Avenue from June 21,2021 through August 20,2021 Mr.Crouch stated this
is an update for the Interceptor project from for a road closure on Chestnut from Watt Street to
Meigs Ave from June 21 to August 20.
Mr.Waiz made a motion to approve road closure and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion
passed 3-0.
4. Andy Crouch-Request for approval of road closure at Utica Pike and Port Road on Wed,June 9,
2021 to fix railroad track—Mr.Crouch stated this request is from MG Rails to close Utica Pike for
today, only today to replace a rail section with a detour route.
Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the road closure and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion
passed 3-0.
5. Paul Northam-Request for approval of road closure every Friday night during Riverstage season
on Riverside Drive from Spring Street to Pearl Street from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm—Mr. Northam
stated they are requesting approval for road closure for every Friday night during Riverstage
season. There was a little confusion this past weekend and it will be closed from 9:00 am until
midnight for vendors to set up.
Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the road and Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed
3-0.
6. Derek Misch with,Dan Cristiani-Request for approval of traffic control for the IAWC Ohio Avenue
water main project—Mr. Misch explained the project and timeline. It will be next Monday through
Wednesday.Chief Kavanaugh stated that when one lane was closed they would need to have a
flagger so that cars are not meeting. Mr. Misch stated they are digging it up and not boring up. It
was determined that this was just recently repaved. Mr.Waiz stated it is the expectation that they
will repave the area so that it is seamless.
Mr.Waiz made a motion to approve the request and Mr.Crouch seconded the motion; motion
passed 3-0.
7. Bruce Deark-Request for approval of baby box monitoring contract between Koorsen
Fire and Security and Jeff Fire Department—Mr. DeArk stated this is for the baby box
monitoring. Mayor Moore asked how far are we out on this. Mr. DeArk stated they are
hoping for the first-Week in July.
Mr. Waiz made a motion to approve the contract and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion;
motion passed 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business, Mr.Crouch made a motion to adjourn at 9:48 a.m.
