ORDINANCE CONCERNING VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION
OF CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY
WHEREAS, the boundary of the City of Jeffersonville is
contiguous to the real

particularly described as follows:
Commencing at an iron pin on the common corner of Illinois
Grant Surveys No. 33 and No. 34 and in the line of Survey
No. 47s also being in the centerline of Coopers Lane, thence
South 50 degrees West along the line dividing Surveys No. ~
and No. 47 and along said centerline 239.06 feet to a
railroad spike in the Eastern right of way line of the
railroads ~hence South 03 degrees, 36 minutes, West along
said railroad right of way ~ine 627.48 feet to an iron fence
post, thence continuing with the Eastern right of way of the
railroad, South 03 degrees, 55 minutes, 42 seconds West
2689.42 feet to a stone, thence departing the railroad right
of way, and with the'northwest line of Anderson (Deed Book
289, Page 558) North 49 de'rems, 53 minutes~ 09 seconds East
646.56 feet to a point, thence with the northeast line of

622.77 feet to the true poin~ of beginning o~ the tract
being herein demcribed, thence North 56 degrees, 40 minutes,

in Hamburg Pike, thence with Hamburg Pike, South 00 degrees,

SECTION II.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the boundaries of the City of
Jeffersonville shall be and the same hereby are declared
extended to include all of the real estate hereinabove
described as a part of the City of Jeffersonville, Clark
County, Indiana.
SECTION III.
The territory annexed hereby is assigned to Common Council
District Four as set forth in Ordinance No. 90-OR-47.

land, more particularly described herein as follows:

particularly described as follows:

The total border of this land is 2,475.52 feet, of which
484.6 feet are contiguous with the City's corporate boundaries.
Therefore, 20% of the borders of the proposed annexation is
contiguous with the City's corporate boundaries.
David L. Summit is the sole legal owner of the real estate
described hereinabove.
WHEREFORE, pursuant to I.C. 36-4-3-5, said legal and
equitable owner rests an ordinance annexing the area described
hereinabove.
