Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; roll call vote: Mr. Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr.Waiz made the-motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr. Crouch. Roll call vote: Mr.Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. - OLD BUSINESS: 1. Courtney Gilmore with Koetter-Request for approval to close one lane on one of the following days: May 13,2021, May 20,2021 or May 27,2021 on 8th Street at Pfau Oil for use of crane (tabled from May 5,2021)—Ms. Gilmore stated they are hoping to get it done with the first two days and are using the third day for a rain back up. It will be a one-and-a-half-day job. It will not be consecutive days. Mr.Crouch asked if they would be flagging,they do not want traffic coming at each other so they will need to flagger if they going to-close a lane of traffic. Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the one lane closure with a flagger on the dates requested. Mr.Waiz seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr.Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore— yes; motion passed 3-0. NEW BUSINESS: - 1. Rob Waiz for Donald Ray Allen with First Savings Bank-Request for approval of road closure on 300 Block of Southern Indiana Avenue starting on Thursday, May 20,2021 at 6:00 pm until Friday, May 21,2021—Mr.Waiz stated this is a request from First Savings Bank. It is in between their headquarters and Tourism. Mr. Crouch stated that was a dead end road. Mr.Waiz made a motion to approve the road closure and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion. Roll. call vote: Mr. Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore-yes; motion passed 3-0. 2. Scott McVoy-Request for approval of proposal/contract between the Jeffersonville PD and Jerciko Media to produce a recruitment video—Mr. McVoy stated this is for a recruitment video for the application.process. They have the money set aside in their budget. Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the contract and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr. Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore-yes; motion passed 3-0. Page 1 of 3, 3. Sarah Green-Request for approval of contract renewal between the Animal'Shelter and Duplicator Sales and Service for copier—Mrs. Green stated this is a 36-month contract and it is in the budget. Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the contract and Mr. Waiz seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr. Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. 4. Sarah Green-Request for approval of contract renewal between the Animal Shelter and Waterlogic for water dispenser—This is a renewal of a contract already in place and is already in the budget. Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the contract and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr. Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. 5. Andy Crouch and Len Ashack-Request for approval of road closure on 6th Street and Kentucky Avenue on Monday, May 17,2021 to May 19,2021 Mr.Ashack stated this should be completed by the afternoon of May 18th. Mr. Crouch stated that the building that burned on the corner of Court and Spring has a sewer line that ran under it and they are taking this opportunity to relocate that. Mr.Ashack stated this shouldn't take more than a day and a half to two days at the most. Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve road closure and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr. Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. 6. Emily Dippie-Request for approval of Guest Teaching Artisan Agreement between City NoCo Arts Center and Tammy Burke to teach a fabric dye workshop—Ms. Dippie stated this will be for a fabric dye workshop in June and is for her stipend. This is within their budget. This will be a free community workshop. Once the details are finalized they will be posted on social medial. Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the contract and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr.Crouch—yes; Mr. Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. Mayor Moore asked if there was any additional business that needed to be discussed. Mr. Crouch stated that MAC Construction is here requesting a road closure extension as part of the CSO Interceptor Project. Representative from MAC Construction was present and explained that they are requesting a road closure extension closing an addition block on Chestnut Street between Locust and Walnut and also close Locust street between Chestnut Street and Market Street. Both of those roads they are proposing to close to through traffic due to the pipe construction. There will be a point in time in which they will lay a short run of pipe on Locust Street. This will be installed next Monday. Mr. Crouch added that they had a neighborhood meeting with Franklin Commons last week and he has received a lot of positive feedback about the communication they have been giving the neighborhoods on the projects. Mr.Waiz made a motion to approve the road closure and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr. Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. Mayor Moore stated he appreciates everyone's patience with these projects as well as all of the contractors for the projects attending the neighborhood meetings.
