Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; roll call vote: Mr.Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr.Crouch made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr.Waiz. Roll call vote: Mr.Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: 1. Christy O'Neil for Juanita Lesiewicz-Request,for approval of Handicap sign at 821 Walnut Street (approved by Street Department)—Mayor Moore asked if this person understood that this is for anyone with a handicapped plate and not just the owner of the property. Mrs.O'Neil stated the requestor did understand this. • Mr.Crouch made a motionto approve the handicap sign and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr.Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. 2. Sean Angermeier with Louisville Paving-Request for approval of 8th and Ewing Lane Maintenance Traffic Changes—Mr.Angermeier stated they are looking at extending their closure on Ewing Lane starting on May 5th. They will drop it back on May 10th on the 8th Street project. Mayor Moore asked if they are only doing work Monday through Friday was there any reason that they could not open the lanes back upon Saturday and Sunday for traffic. Mr.Angermeier stated he could probably do that on 8th Street. Mr. Crouch stated we are talking about two separate projects right now. Mayor Moore stated he is referring to wanting to request this for any ongoing projects from here on out. Mr:Angermeier stated they will have a trench 19 feet deep and 6 feet wide running down 8th Street. There is no way for him to make that safe enough to open the road. He stated on the 8th Street project they can keep that open on the weekends until May 10th and then they will have the same size of trench. Mayor Moore stated for any contractors out there who are doing work Monday through Friday and they are not working through the weekend if there is not a safety reason for why the road cannot be opened through the weekend he expects the road to be opened and that courtesy for the residents of Jeffersonville would be appreciated. Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the street closure and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion. Mr. Waiz asked if this is a project that needs to have notices sent out. Mr.Ashack stated he would get Page 1 of 2 with ProMedia to post those changes on the Facebook page. Roll call vote: Mr.Crouch—yes; Mr. Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. 3. Heather Metcalf-Request for approval of contract between City and The Howard E. Nyhart Company,Inc.for Interim GASB 75 actuarial update—Mrs. Metcalf stated this is an annual contract and she has the money in the budget. Mr.Waiz made a motion to approve the contract and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Mr.Crouch—yes; Mr.Waiz—yes; Mayor Moore—yes; motion passed 3-0. Mayor Moore stated the dumpsters have started to be placed in the neighborhoods around the City for the residents to use. Mayor Moore thanked the Sanitation Department and Street Department for working together on that. If you go to the City Facebook page you will see where those dumpsters are located. Mayor Moore reminded that these are not for commercial contractors. Mayor Moore wished Chief Kavanaugh a Happy Birthday and acknowledged the Chief and the rest of the Police Department. Mayor Moore stated he is incredibly proud of the Jeffersonville Police Officers.
