BEFORE THE JEFFERSONVILLE COMMON COUNCIL
STATE OF INDIANA
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING PLAN
FOR USE OF AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN FUNDS ("ARP FUND PLAN")
WHEREAS, the Common Council for the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana has
adopted Ordinance. No. 2021-OR- ®`� , "An Ordinance Establishing Local American
Rescue Plan Fund"; and
WHEREAS, said ordinance references a plan setting forth the uses of funds to
be appropriated from the Local American Rescue Plan Fund; and
WHEREAS, the State of Indiana Board of Accounts has directed the .City to
adopt a plan as a prerequisite for expending monies from the Local American Rescue
Plan Fund; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council for Jeffersonville,
Indiana hereby adopts the following as the City's plan (hereinafter "ARP Fund Plan") for
use of funds appropriated from the Local American Rescue Plan Fund:
1. To recover loss revenue in 2020 and expected loss revenue through 2024
from Local Income Tax.
2. To recover loss revenue in 2020 and expected loss revenue through 2024
from MVH and LRS Tax.
3. To recover loss revenue in 2020 and expected loss revenue through 2024
in the Wastewater Utility.
4. . To recover loss revenue in 2020 and expected loss revenue through 2024
in the Drainage Utility.
5. To provide premium pay in the form of bonuses for essential works
employed by the City of Jeffersonville.
6. To fund the design for expansion of the North Wastewater Treatment
Facility.
7. To fund sewer repairs at 8th and Mechanic Streets.
8. To fund sewer separation project on 8th Street.
9. To reimburse Wastewater Utility those expenses related to improvements
of the Downtown Wastewater Treatment Facility.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Common Council for the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana that the ARP Fund Plan shall be amended as needed; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Common Council for the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana that use of funds for those items set forth in the ARP Fund Plan
shall require an appropriation and processed and approved as any other claim by the
fiscal body; and
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect after its passage by the Council
and approval by the Mayor.
