AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF YMCA
PROPERTY TO CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE
WHEREAS, the Clark County YMCA has filed a voluntary petition for annexation
before the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has found that annexation of the real estate
would serve the best interest of the Clark County YMCA and the City of Jeffersonville;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville that the following described real estate shall be annexed into the City of
Jeffersonville, to wit:
Being a part of Survey No. 34 of the Illinois Grant, Clark County, State of
Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a grant corner
common to Surveys No. 33, No. 34 and No. 47 of the Illinois Grant; thence
S 34 deg. 12' 23" E. 2265.20' along the line dividing Survey No. 33 and
No. 34 to a point; thence N 54 deg. 57' 02" E. 29.87' to a point in the
easterly right-of-way of the Hamburg Pike; thence N 09 deg. 58' 31" W.
165.61' along said easterly right-of-way to a point, THE TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING, said point being marked by an iron pin; thence continuing N
09 deg. 58' 31" W. 406.60' along said right-of-way to a point marked by an
iron pin; thence N 54 deg. 48' 11" E. 578.02' to a point marked by an iron
pin; thence N 52 deg. 36' 01" E. 213.50' to a point marked by an iron pin,
said point being the beginning of a curve to the left and being S 37 deg. 23'
59" E. 950.36' from the radius point; thence with said curve to the left N
47 deg. 56' 01" E. chord 186.46' to a point; thence N 36 deg. 32' 35" E.
147.15' to a point marked by an iron pin, said point being S 57 deg. 30' 08"
E. 950.36' from the radius of said curve; thence S 34 deg. 32' 41" E.
447.78' to a point in the northerly line of the Meadows Subdivision, said
point being marked by an iron pin; thence S 54 deg. 57' 02" W. 1284.40'
along the northerly line of said subdivision to a point, the trne point of
beginning, containing 10.4542 acres.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION BY CLARK COUNTY YMCA
The Board of Directors of the Clark County YMCA, hereinafter called YMCA,
hereby petitions the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, hereinafter called City,
to annex by ordinance the real property described in this Petition, and in support of said
Petition, states as follows:
(1) That the YMCA is a not for profit organization;
(2) That the YMCA is the owner of a certain parcel of property and located
adjacent to the City of Jeffersonville, which property is described as follows, to wit:
Being a part of Survey No. 34 of the Illinois Grant, Clark County, State of
Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a grant corner
common to Surveys No. 33, No. 34 and No. 47 of the Illinois Grant; thence
S 34 deg. 12' 23" E. 2265.20' along the line dividing Survey No. 33 and
No. 34 to a point; thence N 54 deg. 57' 02" E. 29.87' to a point in the

City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, on the Southeast side;
(4) That the YMCA desires to have said real estate annexed by the City of

Jeffersonville so that said property may be protected by the City's Fire and Police
Departments in the event of casualty;
(5) That the proposed annexation is in the best interest of the City and of the
YMCA.
