ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NON-REVERTING FUND
FOR THE PURPOSES OF PEVELOPING THE RIVERFRONT
IN JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA

WHEREAS, the Common Coul)cil of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana is
responsible for the development and maintenance of the Riverfront Park property in
downtown Jeffersonville; and
WHEREAS, the property in question has potential to earn income; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana believe that the monies produced by the Riverfront Park area should be used for
its development:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana that it hereby establishes a non-reverting fund for the purposes of
receiving funds produced by the Riverfront Park area in Jeffersonville and for using those
monies to enhance, beautify and maintain the Riverfront Park area and the surrounding
areas of the City. This fund shall be entitled the "Jeffersonville Riverfront Park Non-
Reverting Fund" and monies shall be extended from this fund only upon the filing of a
proper claim in issuance of a warrant for payment by the Clerk-Treasurer after approval
by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville. This fund shall be a non-reverting
fund and aU monies received as revenues. from the Jeffersonville Riverfront Park area shall
hereafter not be required to be received into the general fund of the City.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its timely passage,
promogation and approval by the Mayor. i
