BEFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL FOR JEFFERSONVILLE
STATE OF INDIANA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDED AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
JEFFERSONVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, THE JEFFERSONVILLE
COMMON COUNCIL AND THE BOARD OF SCHOOL TRUSTEES FOR THE
GREATER CLARK COUNTY SCHOOL CORPORATION
WHEREAS, IC 36-1-7 et al allows political subdivisions in the state of Indiana to enter
into Inter-Local Agreements; and,
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission ("JRDC") and the Common
Council of the City of Jeffersonville("the City")previously entered into an Inter-Local Agreement
(recorded in the office of the Recorder of Clark County, Indiana on as
Instrument ) for the provision of Tax Increment Financing ("TIF") Funds to the
Board of School Trustees for the Greater Clark County School Corporation ("GCCS")to be used
for the economic and redevelopment of buildings and facilities owned by GCCS in the City of
Jeffersonville; and,
WHEREAS, since the initial approvals of the original Interlocal Agreement, certain terms
and conditions have changed warranting revisions to the original Interlocal Agreement as set out
in the Amended Interlocal Agreement, as attached to and made part of this Resolution as
Attachment A.
WHEREAS, the parties agree that the original Interlocal Agreement shall be amended as
set forth in Attachment A and that upon approvals, signatures and the recording of this Amended
Interlocal Agreement, the original Interlocal Agreement as identified above shall become null and
void, and this Amended Interlocal Agreement shall substitute for all purposes.
WHEREAS, with the approval of the Amended Interlocal Agreement as attached to and
made part of this Resolution, as if set out in full herein, the parties intend that Attachment A shall
replace, in total, the original Interlocal Agreement.
WHEREAS, said Amended Interlocal Agreement is being done for the benefit of the
school children, employees, faculty, and administrators of the School Corporation along with the
general public and citizens of the City and surrounding communities.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Amended Interlocal Agreement that
is attached to and made a part of this Resolution as if set out herein in full
(Hi. —Attachment A, including Exhibit I)
is approved in accordance with its terms and conditions subject to approval by the Jeffersonville
Redevelopment Commission and the Greater Clark County School Corporation.
SO RESOLVED AND DULY ADOPTED this d` O day of July 2020, by the
Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville.
