He is extremely knowledgeable and has been a strong leader and big picture thinker for Jeffersonville. In his "day job" he travels a lot...l can't tell you how many times I received a call with ideas or things he'd seen. (Planning/Zoning; Parks; Aesthetics...sidewalks; and Arts were top on his list) A few facts: Ed Z is the current longest serving councilman and has served on the City Council from 2004 to 2019. During these 16 years of city service Ed has served on many city boards and commissions. Ed has served as President of the City Council 4 times; has served as President of the Parks Authority multiple years; has served as President of the Redevelopment Commission; has served as President of the Arts Commission; has lead fire and police contract negotiations multiple times; and has served on the Planning & Zoning commission for many years. Over the years Ed has worked hard to improve our city's finances, to improve our city's appearance and to improve our city's quality of life. It has been my honor and privilege to work side by side with Ed over these years. Ed has made a tremendous mark on Jeffersonville and our community has been greatly improved by his leadership and efforts...you will be missed!
