RESOLUTION OF THlg CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE
INDIANA, AUTHORIZING 'l'ldl~ SUBMITTAL OF A COMMUNITY FOCUS FUND PROPOSAL TO
THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, recognizes the need to stimulate growth and to
maintain a sound economy within its corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, us amended, authorizes the Indiana
Depar[ment of Commerce to provide grants to local units of govenmaent to meet the homing and community
development needs of low and moderate income persons; a,xl
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has conducted or will conduct a public hearing prior to the
submission of a proposal to the Indiana Department of Commerce, said public hearing to assess the housing,
public facilities and economic needs of its Iow and moderate income residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Jeffersenville~ Indiana that:
1. Tlte Mayor is authorized to prepare and submit a proposal for grant funding to address the construction of
hnprovements for the revi~aliTafion of the Greenwood Apartments Public Housing Development.
