Ed Zastawny called the meeting to order at 5:36pm.

Approval of minutes from May 13, 2019
Motion by Paul Northam, 2nd by John McCarthy—all voted to approve
Review of May events:
Creative Impact—
Creative Impact—Glass Artist(Lori Jones) —much better turn out on attendance. Huge crowd at the entire
event.
Mosaic JAM Session video
The picnic was a great success and videographer was able to get multiple shots of people to be used in the video
and one liner scripts went over well. Hopefully the video will be very nice.
Abbey Road on the River (Paul Northam)
Great festival, record crowd. For next year the would like to gear more to Children.
NoCo Video

Riverfront Sculpture ( dedication end of July)
Anchor bolts were put in today, WM Kelley working on plaque based pieces. Hope to have completely
installed and ready for dedication at end of July.
Jack Becker's next visit—June 20th —June 23rd
Jack will be back at end of June but Dawn has little contact with him right now because he is in an art show.
Large Placard creation—(for riverfront,Jeff sculpture, railroad spike,water tank and fable)
Need to order as soon as possible.
Utility Box Project—Judge Submissions Discuss purchase of 13 sun hats & 13 ice towels for participants
We received 44 pieces from 22 artist will be choosing 13 pieces.
Black Box Mural—(to begin October 2019—due to door replacement & legal agreement)
We have two issues we are trying to get door cutouts replaced by end of month plan to work on more in
October.
Sculpture Artist in Residence—Choose final color
Sidewalk at sculpture will bend instead of staying straight and the bike lane will run behind the sculpture.
Surface beneath the sculpture will be grass.
Sculpture Trail Call to Artists—Review
Call to go live June 12 —entries due early August—install early November.
New Business
Creative Impact—July 12th with wine walk
Discussion of getting a temporary license for the evening to serve wine. Cost will be $75.00 for permit for the
night and will need to go out immediately. Board believes they should move forward with getting permit for
the night.
Status of Arts Center renovation—Andy//Dawn
They are making progress things are coming together.
Mercuy Market
This will be a higher end holiday market, hope to have 14 artists, 7 down each side.
47130 Community Art Show
Dawn has not reached out about this, She is going to reach out to high school to see about one of the students
designing a poster.
Commissioner's comments:
Dawn: Begin thinking towards 2020 programs.
Deborah Henderson: I am stepping down from JNLA after December. I have been involved with JNLA since
2012 and feel it's time for someone else to step up.
Upcoming Dates:
Next meeting will be Monday, July 8, 2019.
