A RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING PROCEDURES FOR APPROVING ADDITTIONAL
APPROPRIATIONS FOR REMANING CALENDAR YEAR
OF 2019 UNTIL FURTHER APPROVAL BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
WHEREAS,the Common Council for the City of Jeffersonville, Clark County Indiana (hereafter the
Council), as the City's Statutory Fiscal and Legislative Bodies, has previously approved the 2019 budget
for the City which included appropriations for capital expenditures and leases.
WHEREAS, due to the uncertainties of the impact of circuit breaker caps on the City budget and the
uncertainties in future budget revenues, the Council has determined that it is in the City's best financial
interest to implement procedures due to the impact of Circuit Breakers. No new Additional
Appropriations shall come before the City Council until this Resolution is rescinded.
WHEREAS, Upon an Emergency Situation, the Council President and the Finance Committee must be
consulted and the Council President shall allow the request for the emergency to come before the
Council.
