MINUTES
February 12, 2019
Larry Wallace, Jeffersonville Building Commissioner called the regular meeting of the Jeffersonville Building
Authority to order on February 12,2019, at 9:00 a.m.in the Building Commissioner's Conference Room on the
second floor in Jeffersonville City Hall,500 Quartermaster Court.Members present were Richard Eklund,Bill Fry,
Mayor Mike Moore,Don Sperzel and Larry Wallace.Also present Administrative Assistant Mary Frey.
MINUTES
Mayor Mike Moore made a motion to accept the January 8,2019 minutes as written,seconded by Bill Fry and
approved unanimously.
EXPENDITURE REPORT
Mayor Mike Moore made a motion to approve the revenue and expenditure report for January 2019 as presented,
seconded by Don Sperzel and approved unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
Larry Wallace stated no old business
NEW BUSINESS
Larry Wallace stated that the humidifier on the third floor HR area needed replaced.Perfection Group is replacing
the humidifier at a cost of$2,361.71.
Larry Wallace stated that the interior windows at City Hall have been cleaned by Squeaky Clean Window
Cleaners at a cost of$2,639.00.
Larry Wallace stated that the hallways and tile have been cleaned by Coit Cleaning and Restoration Company at a
cost of$4,754.00.
Larry Wallace stated he would like to purchase an industrial floor cleaner to keep at City Hall so that the
maintenance of the tile floors are kept up.Mayor Moore asked who would use it and Larry stated the current
cleaning company is helping demo two different models and that their employees would use the machine.Mayor
Moore made a motion to purchase an industrial floor cleaner,seconded by Don Sperzel and carried unanimously.
Larry Wallace stated that City Hall is in need of a new water heater.Larry presented two proposals one from
Lindley Plumbing in the amount of$4350.00 and one from Stemler Corporation in the amount of$5,875.00.Bill
Fry made a motion to purchase a water heater with a circulating pump built in and to have a cleaning kit installed
with the system.Bill stated that the water heater should have service done once a year.Mayor Mike Moore seconded
the motion with the understanding Larry will compare the two proposals make sure Bill's suggestions are included
and have Bill review the proposals and purchase the most efficient. The motion passed unanimously.
With no further discussion Mayor Mike Moore made a motion to adjourn,seconded by Don Sperzel and approved
unanimously.
