MINUTES
December 19, 2018

CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:
Mr. Waiz made the motion to APPROVE the minutes from December 12, 2018, seconded by
Mr. Crouch, and motion passed 3-0.
APPROVAL OF THE PAYROLL:
Mr. Waiz made the motion to APPROVE the payroll, seconded by Mr. Crouch, and
motion passes 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
Les Merkley-Request for approval of contract between the City and Clark-Floyd Landfill, LLC
Mr. Merkley indicated that this is a renewal contract for 2019 at $21.05 per ton. Mr. Crouch made
the motion approve the contract, seconded by Mr. Waiz and motion passes 3-0.
Les Merkley-Request for Acceptance of 2 tracts of real property from River Ridge Authority for
Chapel Lake Park
Mr. Merkley indicated that we need to accept the property with quick claim deeds for the two lots
from River Ridge Authority to be part of Chapel Lake Park, then Mayor Moore will execute the
document. Mr. Waiz made the motion to accept the property, second by Mr. Crouch and motion
passes 3-0.
Les Merkley-Award of construction contract for Chapel Lake Property

Mr. Merkley indicated that all bids were reviewed and with some options Dan Cristiani
Excavating Co Inc is awarded the contract with a bid of$3,229,000. Mr. Waiz made the motion to
approve the construction contract, seconded by Mr. Crouch, and motion passes 3-0.
Andy Crouch-Request for approval of Sidewalk Master Plan Update 2018-2019 between City
and JTL
Mr. Crouch indicated that this is an update to an old Sidewalk Plan from JTL. This updated to the
original contract is for$8,500 and will be encumbered with 2018 funds. Mr. Waiz made the motion to
approve the contracts, seconded by Mr. Crouch and motion passes 3-0.
Mayor Moore invited everyone to the ground breaking tomorrow(Dec 20) at 11 a.m. at the New
Chapel Lake Park entrance.
