MINUTES
December 12, 2018
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mike Moore, Rob Waiz Redevelopment Director, Len Ashack Dir of Waste

CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:31 a.m.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:
Mr. Hedrick made the motion to APPROVE the minutes from December 5, 2018, seconded by
Mr. Waiz, and motion passed 3-0.
APPROVAL OF THE PAYROLL:
Mr. Waiz made the motion to APPROVE the payroll, seconded by Mr. Hedrick, and
motion passes 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
Dawn Spyker-Request for approval of contract between the City of Jeff and TEG Architects for
the renovation of the former Gray and Wells building as an anchor of Jeffersonville's arts and cultural
district
Ms. Spyker indicated that funds are in the budget. Mr. Hedrick made the motion to approve the
contract, seconded by Mr. Waiz and motion passes 3-0.
Les Merkley-Request for approval of loan with First Savings Bank in regards to Fire Pumper
apparatus and Equipment for Fire Department
Mr. Merkley indicated that there are two loans—one for the Pumper $674,800 and the second is
for equipment,trailer,truck and gear laundry equipment $648,063.29. Mr. Waiz made the motion to
approve the loan contracts, seconded by Mr. Hedrick and motion passes 3-0.

Rob Waiz-Request for approval of Cornice Easement Agreement
Mr. Merkley indicated that there are two agreements here—the first being for the building
overhang into the easement and the second is the right away thru the right away. A motion was made by
Mr. Waiz to approve the easement of the building, seconded by Mr. Hedrick and motion passes 3-0. A
second motion was made by Mr. Hedrick to approve the right away thru the right away, seconded by Mr.
Waiz and motion passes 3-0.
Amir Mousavi and Jerry Rauck with -Request for approval of 2019 Insurance Renewal
premium with Jerry Rauck
Mr. Rauck presented the contract for insurance renewal,priced at $1,488,000 (5% increase) which
is lower than expected. A motion was made by Mr. Hedrick to approve the contract, seconded by Mr.
Waiz and motion passes 3-0.

With no further business, motion was made to adjourn at 9: 7 a .
