MINUTES
November 28, 2018

CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:34 a.m.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:
Mr. Waiz made the motion to APPROVE the minutes from November 21, 2018, seconded by
Mr. Dixon, and motion PASSED 3-0.
APPROVAL OF THE PAYROLL:
Mr. Waiz made the motion to APPROVE the payroll, seconded by Mr. Dixon, and
motion PASSED 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
Larry Wallace-Request for approval of contract between City and Perfection Group for building
maintenance. Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the contract, seconded by Mr. Dixon and motion
passes 3-0.
Nathan Pruitt-Bid Opening for Chapel Lake Park Construction. Mr. Merkley opened the two
bids and announced the following:

Mr. Waiz made the motion to take the bids under advisement, seconded by Mr. Dixon and
motion passed 3-0.
Josh Darby with JTL-Request for approval of New Chapel Sidewalk Traffic Control Change and
Request for approval of New Chapel Sidewalk Change Order. Mr. Darby requested that a change from
traffic light to a flagman directing traffic become effective December 7 to help reduce traffic issues and
an extension to the change order for the timeline to January 14, 2019. This should complete the majority
of work except sodding which will be done in spring. Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve both the
change of controlling traffic as well as the completion timeline to January 14, motion seconded by Mr.
Dixon and passed 3-0.
Joe Anderson/Chris Jackson with Dan Cristiani Excavating-Request for approval of road
closure on Utica Sellersburg Road at the intersection of Highway 62 near the old location of Cunningham
Campers. Mr. Jackson presented a map of the area to close for two days to add sewer and water lines to
the Water Tower Road project. After discussion with departments it was agreed this would be best done
over December 8 weeJ end (alternate date of December 15) because of truck and school bus traffic in the
area. Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the street closure for two days (Dec 8 or Dec 15) and re-open
by 6 a.m. December 10 (or December 17), seconded by Mr. Dixon, and motion passed 3-0.
