REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMER 11, 2018
The Jeffersonville Police Merit Commission meeting was called to order on September 11, 2018
at 5:00 P.M. in the Mayor's Conference Room, Second Floor, 500 Quartermaster Court,Jeffersonville,
Indiana. President Jeremy Snelling called the meeting to order with the following in attendance:
President Jeremy Snelling,Vice-President Robert Campbell, Bonnie Deppert, Scott Aldridge,Attorney
Robert Bottorff and Patty Rush. Absent was Buddy Parker.
Invocation was given by Vice-President Robert Campbell
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
President Snelling presented the minutes from August 14, 2018 meeting, asking if there were
any corrections or additions. Vice-President Campbell made a motion to approve as presented and
seconded by Ms. Deppert. Voted 4-0
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS:
Assistant Chief McVoy addressed the Commission regarding the certification of the list for
Experienced Officers List that were recently interviewed. The names were as follows:
1. Hunter Powell
2. Daniel Day
3. Aaron Senedecker
4. Thomas Lawson
5. Ryan Kays
After discussion, Ms. Deppert made a motion to certify the list as presented and seconded by Mr.
Aldridge. Voted 4-0
Assistant Chief McVoy advised that the testing process notices have been sent out for Sergeants
and Corporals to approximately 30 Officers. They will have 3 months to study and the Police Merit
Commission will pay for the books only if the Officers take the test.
CLAIMS:
President Snelling presented a claim from Indiana Media Group, Invoice# 182830 in the amount
of$1,040.34, testing for Experienced Officers. Vice-President Campbell made a motion to approve the
claim and seconded by Mr. Aldridge. Voted 4-0
ADJOURN:
Mr.Aldridge made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:45 P.M. Our next meeting will be held
on Tuesday,October 9, 2018.
