MINUTES
August 29, 2018

CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:33 am
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:
Mr. Owen made the motion to approve the minutes from the August 22, 2018 meeting, seconded
by Mr. Miles, motion passed 3-0.
APPROVAL OF THE PAYROLL:
Mr. Owen made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Mr. Miles, motion passed 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
Christy O'Neil - Request for approval of handicap sign at 1022 Thomas V Bryant (has been
approved by JPD). Ms. O'Neil stated that Ms. Polk at 1022 Thomas V Bryant request a handicap parking
only sign at her residence. Ms. Polk was informed that anyone who has a handicap license/sign could park
in this space. Mr. Owen made the motion to approve the handicap only parking sign, seconded by Mr.
Miles; and motion passes 3-0.
Janet Dale Himmelheber- request for approval of"Resident Only"parking space at 209 West
Maple (has been approved by JPD). Mr. Miles made a motion to table the request until JPD has reviewed
the property again (inspection of garage), Mr. Owen seconded; and motion tabled 3-0.
Carolyn Banet with Louisville Paving- request for approval for road closure for the North end of
Ohio avenue starting September 4, 2018 (permanent closure per the plans). Ms. Banet stated this is off
10th Street through 8th Street. Mr. Owen made a motion to approve the road closure, Mr. Miles seconded;
and motion passes 3-0.

ADDITIONAL NEW BUSINESS:
Larry Wallace—introduced Mr. Bill Reneau that is currently working on Waypoint Project. He
stated they will be coming before the Board in approximately 6-8 weeks for road closures associated with
the project.
ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business for the Board of Public Works, Mr. Owen made the motion to ADJOURN.
Meeting adjourned at 9:38 am.
