TERMS OF AGREEMENT:
The contractor chosen agrees to the following:
• Create an outdoor metal sculptural bike rack that will withstand the elements
• Create a piece(s) that remains between 8'wide,3 ih 'deep and 2 lh'tall
• Create a piece that is capable of being surface mounted
• Coat the bottom of the piece to avoid rust collecting around the piece on the ground.
• Take care to consider that the piece must be functional (holds at least 6-8 bikes) and safe for public viewing
and interaction (no hazardous elements)
• Follow the awarded design which was submitted and chosen by the adjudication panel
• Provide a cherry red piece that has been coated with appropriate exterior paint or powder coated material
• Deliver the piece to the designated location by the installation date chosen in October(anchor bolts will be
provided)
• The contractor will coordinate delivery with the Public Art Administrator
• Provide the city with a W9 (Public Art Admin will email this to you ifyou do not have one readily available)
• Stipend will be$4,000 for services rendered I $2000 of that will be awarded after Artisan Agreement has been
signed and invoice has been submitted
• The final$2,000 will be paid to the contractor once the piece is successfully installed
INDEMNIFICATION:
Contractor agrees to indemnify and hold the City of Jeffersonville and its officers,agents,and employees,harmless from
all suits,claims,or damages,including reasonable attorney's fees arising out of or resulting from activities under this
agreement conducted by Contractor or Contractor's agents.The provisions of this section shall survive the expiration or
earlier termination of this agreement.
