TERMS OF AGREEMENT:
The contractor chosen agrees to the following:
• Set up a painting station at the designated location at least 1day before the start of the festival
• Demonstrate throughout the evening hours between 6- 10:30 p.m.-August 31st &Sept. 1st at the Steamboat
Nights Festival
• Bring a marine grade ply at least 1/2"thick and 3 1/2'x 6'self standing as your demonstrating substrate
• Bring your own brushes and paints to create"River Goddess"
• Leave the completed piece behind after the festival to become part of the Public Art Collection
• Interact with the festival go-ers as much as possible
• Take care to consider that the station and performance must be safe and appropriate for public viewing and
interaction
• Consider safety of all structures and provide ways to secure them during the two nights
• The contractor will coordinate set up on to site with the Public Art Administrator
• Provide the city with a W9 (Public Art Admin will email this to you ifyou do not have one readily available)
• Provide the city with an invoice for$1000 for services rendered as soon as possible
• Stipend will be$1000 for services rendered I The payment of$1000 will be made after the successful
completion of the performances and activities after the conclusion of Steamboat Nights in September.Check to
be mailed to the contractor no later than three weeks after the event.
INDEMNIFICATION:
Contractor agrees to indemnify and hold the City of Jeffersonville and its officers,agents,and employees,harmless from
all suits,claims,or damages,including reasonable attorney's fees arising out of or resulting from ac *vities under this
agreement conducted by Contractor or Contractor's agents.The provisions of this section shall su e the e iration or
earlier termination of this agreement.
