TERMS OF AGREEMENT:
The contractor chosen agrees to the following:
• Providing music instruction with Latin American influence focusing on the Music Standards provided by the State of
Indiana for grades K-6.This will include instrument identification,instrument creation,instrument practice,geography
identification as well as special vocabulary that is topic specific.
• Visiting both Springhill and Parkwood Elementary Schools to provide instruction alongside the music staff at each
school no fewer than 8 times beginning August 15th and ending October 17th,2018.
• Arriving at Springhill Elementary for morning instruction and Parkwood EIementary for afternoon instruction.
• Creating panpipes with each student at both schools.
• Practicing a song with the created panpipes.
• Guiding the students through a song during the City's-Sugar Skull Cultural Festival-October 27th,2018
• Artist agrees to allow the City of Jeffersonville rights to record music and share pictures as they see fit.
• Provide the city with a W9(PublicArtAdmin will email this to you ifyou do not have one readilyavailable)
• Provide the city with three invoices for services rendered,to be broken down as follows:
Planning&Material Fee-$1,000
Initial Phase of Instruction-$2,500
Final Phase of Instruction-$2,500(to be paid no more than 2 weeks after the final performance at the festival)
INDEMNIFICATION:
Contractor agrees to indemnify and hold the City of Jeffersonville and its officers,agents,and employees,harmless from
all suits,claims,or damages,including reasonable attorney's fees arising out of or resulting from activities under this
agreement conducted by Contractor or Contractor's agents.The provisions of this section shall survive the expiration or
earlier termination of this agreement.
