AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2017-0R-49, WHICH AMENDS 2016-OR-77, WHICH AMENDS
2015-0R-18, WHICH AMENDS 2012-OR-2, WHICH AMENDS ORDINANCE 2011-OR-49, WHICH AMENDS
ORDINANCE 2009-OR-33, WHICH AMENDS 2009-OR-13, WHICH AMENDS 2008-OR-57, AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING DEPARTMENTAL PETTY CASH AND/OR CASH CHANGE FUNDS
WHEREAS, Petty Cash Funds/Cash Change funds currently exist within many City Departments in
the City of Jeffersonville;
WHEREAS,the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville has the authority under Indiana Law
to establish a Petty Cash and/or Cash Change fund pursuant to I.C. 36-1-8-3;
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to change, terminate and/or establish the amount of each
City Department's Petty Cash and/or Cash Change Fund;
WHEREAS,the Common Council, having been duly advised, believes the following Petty Cash
and Cash Change Funds shall be established in the following amounts with the listed personnel position
to be responsible for its accounting as prescribed by I.C. 36-1-8-3:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any previously established Petty Cash Funds and Cash Change
Funds are hereby dissolved and terminated,and the above described Petty Cash Funds and Cash Change
Funds shall remain in existence until an Ordinance terminates them and upon such termination the fund
balances remaining shall revert to the appropriate funds.
This ordinances shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.
