April 4, 2018

CALL TO ORDER: Mr. Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:32 a.m.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Dixon made the motion to APPROVE the minutes from the
March 28, 2018 meeting, seconded by Mr. Hedrick, PASSING on a vote 3-0.
APPROVAL OF THE PAYROLL: Mr. Dixon made the motion to APPROVE the payroll, seconded by Mr.
Hedrick, PASSING on a vote of 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Erick Hedrick — Request for approval of street closure on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to
11:00 p.m. on 11th Street from Mechanic to Penn Street for a fundraising Block Party for Bruce
DeArk (at the Fire Union Hall). Mr. Dixon made the motion to approve, second by Mr. Waiz,
PASSING 3-0.
2. Tom Popp with TEG Architects— Request for approval to block off a parking lane at 301 Riverside
Drive, from Riverside Drive to driveway on East Side of Locust Street. Mr. Popp indicated that this
would not happen until after "Thunder", but requested this be allowed for one year. Mr. Hedrick
made the motion to approve, second by Mr. Dixon, PASSING 3-0.
3. Len Ashack— Request for approval of road closure on Utica Pike from Jeff Boat to Chippewa for
the entire week of April 9-13, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for milling and paving. Mr. Ashack

presented maps outlining the detours for trucks and other vehicles during this time. No action
necessary (approved at last meeting).
ADDITIONAL NEW BUSINESS:
Mr. Crouch reminded everyone road detours with the 10th Street project on April 9-12 will be
directed to Penn & Main, and 11th to Main from the hours of 8 p.m. till 5 a.m. Mr. Hedrick made the
motion to approve, second by Mr. Dixon, PASSING 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
With no further action for the Board of Public Works, Mr. Hedrick made the motion to ADJOURN,
seconded by Mr. Dixon. Meeting adjourned at 9:38 a.m.
