SANITARY SEWER BOARD
MINUTES OF MARCH 1, 2018
The Sanitary Sewer Board of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana met in regular
session on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 3:00 P.M in the City Hall Mayor's Conference
Room. Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 3:08 P.M. Board Members present
are Mike Moore, Bill Saegesser and Dale Orem. Also present are Utility Director Len
Ashack, Board Attorney Mike Gillenwater, Utility Billing Office Manager Elisha Gibson,
Controller Heather Metcalf, Utility Communication & Operations Manager Amy Huffman,
Josh Hillman representing Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz, Lenin Kasthuri representing The
Lochmueller Group, Adam Dickey representing HMB Engineers, John Herriford
representing Strand Associates, and Secretary Barbara Hollis.
Board Member Orem made the motion to approve the revised agenda as
presented, second by Board Member Saegesser, passing on a vote of 3-0.
The minutes of the February 15, 2018 meeting were presented for approval. Board
Member Saegesser, made the motion to approve the minutes as presented, second by
Board Member Orem, passing on a vote of 3-0.
CONTROLLER'S REPORT
Controller Metcalf presented the claim list dated March 1, 2018 in the amount of
$214,627.12. Board Member Orem, made the motion to approve the claim list as
presented, second by Board Member Saegesser, passing on a vote of 3-0.
Manager Gibson presented the Adjustment Certificate dated February 26, 2018 in
the amount of $-57,272.52 Sewage, $-2,405.87 Drainage. Board Member Saegesser,
noting most of the amount represents liens, made the motion to approve the Certificate
as presented, second by Board Member Orem, passing on a vote of 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS
Director Ashack said a preliminary verbal agreement has been reached for the
purchase of the property for the Liters Lift Station Easement. He explained the terms. An
appraisal will be ordered.
NEW BUSINESS
Board Attorney Gillenwater presented an Amended Independent Contractor
Agreement(Barbara Hollis- Sewer Board Secretary). This is due to a typographical error,
and to comply with Ordinance No. 2018-OR-4). Board Member Orem made the motion

There being no further business to come before the Board, Board Member
Saegess-r made the motion to adjourn at 3:21 P.M., second by Board Member Orem,
passing : . ote of 3 I. The next meeting is scheduled for March 15, 2018.
