BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MINUTES
July 5, 2017
MEMBERS PRESENT: Len Ashack, Director of Waste Water, Kim Calabro, Director of Human Resources, Phil
Caldwell, Director of Vehicle Maintenance,Andy Crouch, City Engineer, Bill Dixon,Assistant Engineer, Matt Dyer, IT
Director,Shawn Grant,Jeffersonville Fire Department,Sara Green, Director of Animal Shelter, Eric Hedrick, Chief of
JFD, Heather Metcalf, City Controller, Clark Miles, Director of Street Department, Paul Northam, Director of Parks
& Recreation,Christy O'Neil, Admin Assistant Mayor, Matt Owen, City Council Member, Nathan Pruitt, Director of
Planning&Zoning, Larry Wallace, Building Commissioner.
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:33A.M.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Matt Owen made the motion to APPROVE the minutes from the June 28, 2017
meeting,seconded by Rick Lovan, passing on a vote of 3-0.
APPROVAL OF THE PAYROLL: Matt Owen made the motion to APPROVE payroll,seconded by Rick Lovan, passing
on a vote of 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Nothing to come before the board at this time.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Phil Caldwell—Request for approval of contract with HamHed Janitorial services with Vehicle Maintenance
department. This is a 3 year agreement for the amount of$320.00 per month. Matt Owen made motion to
APPROVE request,seconded by Rick Lovan, passing on a vote of 3-0.
2. Steven Oakes with All Terrain Paving—Request for approval of road closure and detour on New Chapel Road for
sidewalk construction. After discussion,the board offered closure to thru traffic on New Chapel Road from July 10,
2017 to July 26, 2017 for the hours of 7:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m. daily. Beginning July 27, 2017 closure will need to
begin after 9:00 a.m. due to school traffic in the area. Rick Lovan made motion to APPROVE closure,seconded by
Matt Owen, passing on a vote of 3-0.
3. Bobby Campbell w/Jacobi,Toomes, & Lanz—Signing of Annual Paving Contract. Rick Lovan made motion to
APPROVE,seconded by Matt Owen, passing on a vote of 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT: No further business of the BPW meeting adjourned at 9:35 A.M.
