HomeMy WebLinkAboutJUNE 7, 2017 Jeffersonville Special Parks Authority Monday June 7th, 2017 The Jeffersonville Parks Authority Met in a Session in the Mayor's Conference Room, City Hall,Jeffersonville, IN on June 7th, 2017. Members Present: Bill Burns, Larry Jordan, Ron Ellis, Tracy Ames and Ralph Scales. Also Present: Les Merkley and Paul Northam. Approval of Agenda Director Northam removed the King Kat Tournament from the Agenda. Member Jordan made a MOTION to approve the amended agenda,the motion was seconded by Member Ellis. The motion PASSED on a vote of 5-0. OLD BUSINESS- 1) New Mowers-The Greenspace team needs to purchase two mowers and a trailer. One of the Mowers is a remote control mower to cut that land that is a 45 degree angle or more that the safety manager has deemed too dangerous to mow. There is money in the budget to purchase all of these items. Member Ames made a MOTION to approve the purchase of the trailer, the motion was seconded by Member Ellis. The motion PASSED on a vote of 5-0. Member Jordan made a MOTION to approve the purchase of the John Deere Mower, the motion was seconded by Member Ellis. The motion PASSED on a vote of 5-0. Member Ames made a MOTION to approve the purchase of the remote control mower, the motion was seconded by Member Jordan. The motion PASSED on a vote of 5-0. 2) Riverstage Contracts- Halfway to Hazard is coming to Jeff Goes Country,this is the stand contract that we have with this booking agency. Member Jordan made a MOTION to approve the Rivertage contract for Halfway to Hazard,the motion was seconded by Member Ames. The motion was PASSED on a vote of 5-0. NEW BUSINESS- 1) Way FM Contract-This is a local Christian channel that approached up with a promotional package valued at$5500.00 that we are getting for$2500.00. We ran this past Promedia and they said that it was a great deal so we have decided to move forward with it. Member Ames made a MOTION to approve the Way FM Contract, the motion was seconded by Member Jordan. The motion PASSED on a vote of 5-0.
