HomeMy WebLinkAboutFebruary 14, 2017 JEFFERSONVILLE POLICE MERIT COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 14, 2017 The Jeffersonville Police Merit Commission was called to order by Vice-President Jeremy Snelling on February 14, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. The meeting was held in the City Council Chambers, First Floor, 500 Quartermaster Court,Jeffersonville, Indiana. The following members were present: Vice-President Jeremy Snelling, Secretary Bonnie Deppert,James Reagan, Attorney Robert Bottorff and Patty Rush. Absent were President Robert Campbell and Scott Aldridge. INVOCATION: APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Vice-President Snelling presented the minutes from January 10, 2017 meeting, asking if there were any additions or corrections. Mr. Reagan made motion to approve the minutes as presented and seconded by Ms. Deppert. Voted 3-0 Vice-President Snelling presented the minutes from Special Meeting of January 18, 2017, asking if there were any additions or corrections. Mr. Reagan made motion to approve the minutes as presented and seconded by Ms. Deppert. Voted 3-0 Vice-President Snelling presented the minutes from Special Meeting of February 7, 2017, asking if there were any additions or corrections. Mr. Reagan made motion to approve the minutes as presented and seconded by Ms. Deppert. Voted 3-0 NEW BUSINESS: Discussion for the Amendment to the City of Jeffersonville Police Department Merit Commission Rules and Procedures were tabled until all members of the Commission could attend a meeting to discuss and approve Rules and Procedures. Mr. Reagan made motion to schedule a Special Meeting for discussion for the Amendment#2017-01. Ms. Deppert seconded the motion. Voted 3-0 Mr. Reagan made motion to schedule Special Meeting for the Merit Commission on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in the Council Chambers at 5:00 P.M. Ms. Deppert seconded the motion. Voted 3-0 CLAIMS: Vice-President Snelling presented a claim to Bob Bottorff Law PC, Invoice#00103 in the amount of$765.00. Ms. Deppert made motion to approve Invoice #00103 in the amount of$765.00 and seconded by Mr. Reagan. Voted 3-0 Vice-President Snelling presented a claim to the Courier-Journal regarding advertisement for applications to the Jeffersonville Police Department on Account#268632 in the amount of$759.90. Ms. Deppert made motion to approve the claim in the amount of$759.90 and seconded by Mr. Reagan. Voted 3-0 Vice-President Snelling presented a claim to Indiana Media Group (News &Tribune), #182830 advertisement for applications to the Jeffersonville Police Department in the amount of$577.26. Ms. Deppert made motion to approve the claim in the amount of$577.26 and seconded by Mr. Reagan. Voted 3-0 ADJOURN: Mr. Reagan made motion to adjourn meeting at 5:30 P.M. and seconded by Ms. Deppert.
