called to order by Councilperson Jimmy Carter
with C. Richard Spencer Jr. at the desk.
The roll was called and those present
Jimmy Carter, Marie Clapp, John Perkins, and Andrew Williams
Absent: Councilpersons Tony Harrod, Ron Grooms, and Robert
Waiz.
Councilperson Carter presented Ordinance No. 90-OR-62, An
Ordinance Fixing Basic Salaries Of Elected Officials Of The City Of
Jeffersonville, Indiana For The Year 1991, for consideration for the
third and final reading.
Councilperson Perkins feels the only question on this
Ordinance has to do with Section 4. He feels the position has become
more and more complicated and wonders if the public would be better
served if there was incentive to attend other meetings.
Councilperson Carter made the motion to pass Ordinance No.
90-OR-62 on the third and final

Following further discussion, Councilperson Perkins withdrew his second
and Councilperson Carter withdrew his motion. Councilperson Perkins
then made the motion to pass Ordinance No. 90-OR-62 on the third and
final reading elimating Sections 2 and 4 and adding 5% to the Council
pay, seconded by Councilperson Williams with the following roll call
vote being recorded:
Ayes: Councilpersons Perkins, Clapp, and Williams.
Nays: Councilp~rson Carter.

Councilperson Carter asked
an aye vote, therefore allowing Ordinance
a 4-0 vote.
There being no further business
discussion, and a concern if the Ordinance

Councilperson Perkins made the motion to adjourn at 11:40 A.M.,
by Councitperson Carter and carried unanimously.
