REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 13, 2016
The Jeffersonville Police Merit Commission meeting was called to order by President Jeremy
Snelling on September 13, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. The meeting was held in the City Council's Chambers on
the First Floor of City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Court,Jeffersonville, Indiana. The following members
were present: President Jeremy Snelling, Vice-President Robert Campbell, Secretary Bonnie Deppert,
James Reagan, Attorney Robert Bottorff and Patty Rush. Absent was Scott Aldridge.
"An Executive Session was held on September 13, 2016 in the City Council's Chambers. Public
notice of the Executive Session was properly given pursuant to the dictates of Ind.Code#14-1.5et.seq.,
and not subject matter was discussed in the Executive Session other than the subject specified in the
public notice."
INVOCATION: By Robert Campbell
MINUTES:
President Snelling presented the minutes from August 9, 2016 meeting, asking if there were any
additions or corrections. Mr. Reagan made motion to approve the minutes as presented and seconded
by Ms. Deppert. Voted 4-0
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS:
Information was given in regarding flowers that were sent from the Police Merit Commission for
Scott Aldridge's Dad (Jim Aldridge).
Chief Kavanaugh advised that regarding time line for the Certified List for promotions and hiring
list will end as of June 1017. This list was certified in October, 2015.
CLAIMS:
President Snelling presented an Invoice to Shelley's Flower and Gift Shop in the amount of
$48.15. This was for a wreath sent for Scott Aldridge's Dad. Mr. Reagan made motion to approve the
payment in the amount of$48.15 and seconded by Ms. Deppert. Voted 4-0
President Snelling presented Invoice#00080 in the amount of$120.00 for months of August and
September to Bob Bottorff Law PC. Mr. Campbell made motion to approve the amount of$120.00 and
seconded by Mr. Reagan. Voted 4-0
ADJOURN:
Mr. Campbell made motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:20 P.M. and seconded by Mr. Reagan.
Our next meeting will be held on October 11, 2016.
