HomeMy WebLinkAboutAUGUST 9, 2016 JEFFERSONVILLE POLICE MERIT COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 9, 2016 The Jeffersonville Police Merit Commission meeting was called to order by Vice-President Robert Campbell on August 9, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. The meeting was held in the City Council's Chambers on the First Floor of City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Court,Jeffersonville, Indiana. The following members were present: Vice-President Robert Campbell, Secretary Bonnie Deppert,James Reagan, Scott Aldridge, Attorney Robert Bottorff and Patty Rush. Absent was President Jeremy Snelling. MINUTES: Vice-President Campbell presented the minutes from July 12, 2016 meeting, asking if there were any additions or corrections. Mr. Reagan made motion to approve the minutes as presented and seconded by Ms. Deppert. Voted 4-0 OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: A question was raised in regard to age for persons on the list for hire. There is one on the list that will have a birthday in December and if not hired, he will be over the age limit. He asked if he paid for the Perf process himself would it make a difference. Attorney Bottorff advised that according to the Rules and Regulations that is not permitted for anyone to attend Perf before he is officially hired. It was also stated that no one has requested to complete the Perf process before being hired. CLAIMS: Vice-President Campbell presented a claim from Bob Bottorff Law PC, Invoice#00076 in the amount of$630.00 for the months of March, May,June and July. A bill for April had already been submitted and paid. Mr. Aldridge made a motion to approve the claim in the amount of$630.00 for Attorney fees and seconded by Mr. Reagan. Voted 4-0 Mr. Reagan made motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 P.M. and seconded by Mr. Aldridge. Our next meeting will be held on September 13, 2016. 4 Vice- resident Robe m ell ATTEST: Patty Rus
