COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS OF THE
COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSONV!LLE, INDIANA
AUGUST 1~ 1991 9:00 P.M.
The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville met in
emergency session in the Mayor's Conference Room~ in the City-County
Building, Jeffersonville, Indiana, at 9:00 o'clock P.M. on the 1st day
of August~ 1991.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dale Orem, with
Clerk and Treasurer C. Richard Spencer Jr. at the desk.
The roll was called and those present were Councilpersons
Jimmy Carter~ Marie Ctapp~ Ron Grooms, Tony Harrod, and John Perkins.
Absent: Councilpersone Bob Waiz and Andrew Williams.
Council President Carter introduced Ordinance No. 91-0R-44~
An Ordinance Fixing Basic Salaries Of Appointed Officers And Employees
Of The City Of Jeffersonville, Indiana For The Year 1992. Council
President Carter made the motion to suspend the rules for Ordinance
No. 91-0R-44~ seconded by Councilperson Perkins and carried
unanimously. Following all discussion and stating of opinions
regal-ding a $750.00 raise for' each full-time employee~ Council
President Carter made the motion to pass Ordinance No. 91-0R-44 on
all three readings, seconded by Councilperson Perkins, passing on the
following roll call vote:
Councilpersons Perkin~ Harrod~ Car-ter~ Clapp, and
Ayes:
Nays: None.
There being no further business to come before the Council~
Counci!person Perkins moved to adjourn at 9:45 P.M. seconded by
Council President Carter and unanimously carried.
