COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS OF THE
COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
JANUARY 7, 1991
The Common Council of the City o~ Jeffersonville, Indiana met
in regular session in Council Chambers, in, the City-County Building in
Jeffersonville, Indiana, on the 7th day of January, 1991, at 7:30
o'clock P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dale Orem and C.
Richard Spencer Jr. at the desk.
Mayor Orem asked all those preseDt to stand as Reverend Eldon
Smith of Park Place Methodist Church gave tlhe invocation. He then asked
those present to join in the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
The roll was called and those present were: Councilpersons
Jimmy Carter, Marie Clapp, Ron Grooms, T~ny Harrod, John Perkins, and
Robert Waiz.
Absent: Councilperson Andrew Williams.
Other business followed.
Mayor Orem introduced Ordinance No. 91-OR-6, An Ordinance Of
Additional Appropriation. Discussion was~held regarding the lights in
Warder Park. Mr. Lakeman will check this. Following all discussion,
Councilperson Harrod made the motion to sMspend the rules,
Councilperson Grooms, passing unanimously. Councilperson
the motion to pass Ordinance 91-OR-6 on a%l three readings,
Councilperson Clapp, passing on the following roll call vote:
Ayes: Councilpersons Grooms, Marrod, Carter, Clapp,
seconded by
Harrod made
seconded by
Waiz and
Perkins.
Nays: None.
Other business followed.
There being no further business
Councilperson Perkins made the motion to a~journ at
by Councilperson Harrod and carried unanimgusly.
