JULY 30, 1992
The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville~ Indian-1
met in special session in the Mayor's Conference Room in
City-County Building in Jeffersonville, ~ndiana on the 30th day
July 1992, at 5:30 o'clock P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Raymond J. Pa.-ker
Jr. with C. Richard Spencer Jr. at the desk. Mayor Parker asxed
those in attendance to stand as Councilperson Steven Stemler gave the
invocation. He then asked all those in attendance to remain standing
and ~oin h~m in the pledge of allegiance to' the flag.
The roll was called and those present were: Councilpersons
Bill Wolpert, Andrew Williams III, Peggy~ Knight Wilder, L. Marie
Clapp~ Robert L. Potter, and Steven R. Stemler.
Absent: Councilperson Donna M. Frantz.
Council President Williams introduced Ordinance No.
98-0R-~3, An Ordinance Fixing Basic Salaries Of Appointed Officers And
Employees Of The City Of Jeffersonville, Indiana For The Year 1993.
Council President Williams made the motion to suspend the rules for
Ordinance No. 9R-OR-43, seconded by Councilperson Potter and carried
unanimously. Council President Williams then made the motion to pass
Ordinance No. 98-0R-43 on all three . readings~ explaining the
Ordinance reflects an across the board $500 decrease for al) full-time
employees, seconded by Counc i lperson Potter. Council President
W~lliams ~urther exolained those drawing retirement from the City
not have ~ decrease, ~owever the Council will take the $500 decrease.
Ordinance No. 98-0R-43 passed or the following roll call vote:
Ayes: Counci lpersons, Stemler, Potter, Clmpp, Wilder ~
Will~ams, and Wolpert.
Nays: None.
There being no further business to come before the Cou~cit,
Council Presiden~ Williams made the motion to adjourn at 5:45 o'clock
P.M., seconded by Councilperson Wolpert and carried unanimously.
