COMMON COUNCIL
CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
REGARDING THE AMENDMENT OF THE
INNER CITY ROAD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville ("City") Redevelopment Commission ("Commission") did
on December 22, 1995, adopt a Declaratory Resolution, as amended on December 1, 1999, June
15, 2005 and May 27, 2008 (collectively, as amended, "Declaratory Resolution") establishing
and enlarging the Inner City Road Economic Development Area ("Area") and the Declaratory
Resolution was confirmed by a confirmatory resolution adopted on February 28, 1996;
WHEREAS, the Declaratory Resolution approved the Economic Development Plan, as
amended ("Plan") which Plan contained specific recommendations for economic development in
the Area;
WHEREAS, on June 24, 2016, the Commission adopted its Amending Declaratory
Resolution with respect to the Area ("Amending Declaratory Resolution"), for the purpose of
amending the Plan to add the construction of projects and improvements as described on Exhibit
A to the Amending Declaratory Resolution, together with all necessary appurtenances and
related improvements and equipment ("2015 Plan");
WHEREAS, IC 36-7-14 and IC 36-7-25 and all acts supplemental and amendatory
thereto ("Act") require approval of the Amending Declaratory Resolution and the 2015 Plan by
the Jeffersonville Plan Commission ("Plan Commission"), which occurred on June 30, 2015,
which approving order is attached hereto as Exhibit B; and
WHEREAS, the Act requires the approval of the 2015 Plan, the Amending Declaratory
Resolution and the action of the Plan Commission by the Common Council of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA THAT:
1. The 2015 Plan and the Amending Declaratory Resolution are in all respects
hereby modified by the Common Council to include the "reconstruction and widening of 10th
Street from 4 to 5 lanes (5th lane will be a center turn lane) from Dutch Lane/Penn Street
to Reeds Lane. The project will include the upgrading of turn lanes and signals at the
currently -signalized intersections, and will add sidewalks on each side of the road along the
entire corridor that is in, serving or benefiting the Area."
2. The actions of the Plan Commission approving the 2015 Plan and the Amending
Declaratory Resolution are in all respects hereby modified by the Common Council to include
only the "reconstruction and widening of 10th Street, serving or benefiting the Area" as
described in Exhibit "A".

3. The Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of the Amending Declaratory
Resolution, the 2015 Plan and the order of the Plan Commission with the permanent minutes of
this meeting.
4. This resolution shall be effective from and after passage.

ORDER OF THE JEFFERSONVILLE PLAN COMMISSION
REGARDING THE INNER CITY ROAD
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville ("City") Redevelopment Commission
("Commission") adopted a declaratory resolution on December 22, 1995, as amended on
December 1, 1999, June 15, 2005 and May 27, 2008 (collectively, as amended, "Declaratory
Resolution") establishing and enlarging the Inner City Road Economic Development Area

Declaratory Resolution with respect to the Area ("Amending Declaratory Resolution"), for the
purpose of amending the Plan to include the widening, construction and infrastructure
improvements to 10th Street as described on Exhibit A, together with all necessary appurtenances
and related improvements and equipment in, serving or benefiting the Area ("10th Street
Widening Project") in the list of projects in the Original Plan ("2015 Plan"):
WHEREAS, IC 36-7-14 and IC 36-7-25 and all acts supplemental and amendatory
thereto ("Act") require approval of the Amending Declaratory Resolution and the 2015 Plan by
the Jeffersonville Plan Commission ("Plan Commission");
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE JEFFERSONVILLE PLAN
COMMISSION, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The 2015 Plan for the Area conforms to the comprehensive plan of the City.
2. The Amending Declaratory Resolution and the 2015 Plan are in all respects
approved.
3. The Secretary of the Plan Commission is hereby directed to file a copy of the
Amending Declaratory Resolution and 2015 Plan with the permanent minutes of this meeting.
