A RESOLUTION APPROVING INTERSTATE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
MUTUAL AID AND ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT RFTWEEN THE CITY OF
JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA AND THE CITY OF LOUISIVLLE, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hereinafter "the City") desires to enter
into an Interstate Agreement with the City of Louisville, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, the agreement shall be binding for not less than one (1) year from its
effective date, unless terminated upon at least sixty (60) days written notice by a party as
set forth in the agreement_ This agreement shall continue to be binding upon the parties
in subsequent years and shall be considered to renew automatically from year to year,
unless terminated by written notification as provided in the agreement; and
WHERF_AS, the purpose of this agreement shall be to provide mutual aid and assistance
to other parties in time of emergency or disaster as more fully described in the agreement
and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works believes that it is in the best interest of the City
to enter into this Interstate Agreement;
NOW THEREFORE, IT 1S HERERESOLVED that the Board of
of -the City of Jeffersonville does hereby approve and ratify th- Interstate
between The City of Jeffersonville, Indiana and City of Louis- ille, Kent
