Dear Council Members,
The in ratorium on billboards, digital billboards, and variable message signs was approved on
April 2014 by the ordinance 2014 -OR -18_ The moratorium was to last six months and the
ordinance directed the Planning Department to draft revisions to the sign standards of the Zoning
Ordinance. I request that you extend the moratorium for another six months to allow us to
incorporate the revised standards into a more comprehensive update of the zoning ordinance that
is in progress.
