ORDINANCE NO. 2000-OR-~_C~_
AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING CERTAIN FUNDS WITHIN SAME
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to transfer money from one major budget
classification to another within the Police Department Budget; and
WHEREAS, there is now within the Police Department Budget sufficient monies to pay
this additional mount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, that the sums of money as hereinafter set out in the Police
Department Budget be transferred as indicated.
FROM TO AMOUNT ALLOTTED
#198 Social Security #475 Office Equipment $ 9,000.00
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.

Re: Transfe~ of Funds
Dear Sirs/Madams,
I am requesting to transfer $9,000.00 fxom line item 101006198 (Social Sec~ity) to line
item 101006475 (Office Equipment). These funds will be used to purchase a new copier
for our depa~ merit. Our current copier is approximately four years old and ~ need of
continuing re~airs. We are going to purchase a copier similar to that purcha~d by the
clerk treasures and building commissioners offices. We estimate the copier Will cost
approximately $9,000.00.
