ORDINANCE REPLACING ORDINANCE NO. 93-OR-62
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NON-REVERTING FUND FOR THE
PURPOSE OF REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF CITY PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville finds it in the best interest to replace the existing
Ordinance creating a non-reverting fund for the purpose of upkeep, maintenance, repair
and replacement of city property.
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville is responsible for upkeep and maintenance, repair
and replacement of City property
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana that it hereby establishes a non-reverting fund for the purpose of
receiving money for the upkeep and maintenance, repair and replacement of City
property. This fund shall be entitled the Street Department Non-Reverting Fund and
monies shall be expended fi.om this fund only upon filing the proper claim in issuance of
a warrant for payment by the Clerk Treasurer after approval by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville. This fund shall be a non-reverting fund and all monies
received as revenues fi.om damaged property, all monies received as revenues from the
'public purchase of garbage receptacles and all monies received as revenues fi.om the sale
of advertising on City sanitation trucks, shall not be required to be received into the
general fund of the City.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Street Department Non-Reverting Fund
shall remain in existence until an Ordinance terminates it and upon such termination the
fund balance remaining in the Street Department Non-Reverting Fund shall revert to
the General Fund.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its timely passage, promulgation and
approval by the Mayor.
Passed and adopted by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Clark County,
