AN ORDINANCE APPROVING
AN AMENDMENT TO THE
1999 FOP CONTRACT
WHEREAS, in 1998 the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
(the "Council") recognized the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police Labor
Inc. (the "FOP') as the bargairfing agent for the City's police officers;

and
WHEREAS, on May 25, 1999 the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville (the "Council") adopted Ordinance No. 99-OR-18 approving the
City's 1999-2001 Contract w/th the FOP (the "Contract"); and
WHEREAS, the City and the FOP have become aware of an error in
Article 21 of the Contract concerning rank differential; and
WHEREAS, the FOP requested that the Council correct the error; and
WHEREAS, the Council believes it is in the best interest of the citizens
and taxpayers of the City that the error be corrected as set out in the
Amendment to the Contract, attached hereto as Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED that the
Council does hereby approve and adopt the provisions of the Amendment
attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated by reference herein.
