MINUTES OF THE JEFFERSONVILLE DRAINAGE BOARD JANUARY 3, 2013 The Jeffersonville Drainage Board met on January 3, 2013 at 5:30 P.M. in the City Building Conference Room, Second Floor, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Chairman Bryant called the meeting to order with the following in attendance: BOARD MEMBERS: STAFF: Charlie Bryant Andy Crouch Rick Madden Dan Matson Steve McCreight Scott Lewis, Attorney Dan Christensen Patty Rush Steve Gill Curt Jacobs Chester King Absent was Bob Rogge Grant Morton Guest: Jorge Lanz with Jacobi, Toombs & Lanz MINUTES: Chairman Bryant presented the minutes from December 18, 2012 meeting, asking if there were any corrections. There being none, a motion was made by Mr. Madden to approve the minutes, seconded by Mr. Christensen. Motion passed unanimously ELECTION OF NEW OFFICERS: Attorney Lewis advised the Board that they would have to vote upon a President and Vice - President for the new year of 2013. Mr. Morton made motion to nominate Charlie Bryant as President and seconded by Mr. Gill. Mr. Morton made motion that the nominations be closed and seconded by Mr. Gill. Mr. Bryant was elected President for the new year of 2013. Motion passed unanimously Mr. Gill made motion to nominate Rick Madden for Vice - President and seconded by Mr. Jacobs. Mr. King made motion that the nominations be closed and seconded by Mr. Morton. Mr. Madden was elected Vice - President for the new year of 2013. The meetings will remain the same, being the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Motion passed unanimously Ms. Monica Harmon, City Controller advised the Board that they will be getting new software for the City. She requested that the Board pay for their share in the amount of $23,700. This will also upgrade the software for Becky Snelling's computer system. Mr. Madden made motion to approve not to exceed $23,700 and seconded by Mr. Morton. This will also included 5% maintenance fee two through five years. Motion passed unanimously . Mr. Lanz from Jacobi, Toombs & Lanz gave JTL Report: STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE Final Draft submitted to Board Members and Presentation by CBBEL & JTL reviewed at the last meeting. Waiting on comments from the Board members and follow up questions and answer session at the second meeting in January. ROSELAWN COURT & MAGNOLIA AVENUE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Est. Constr. Cost: $475,000 Updated survey complete. Met with USACE regarding work in Mill Creek Tributary, coordinating submitted of plans for review. Plans to be finalized by February 2013 for anticipated construction to begin in April 2013. Ms. Ashack handed out CD's and information to the members for the Master Plan to be reviewed before the next meeting. Mr. Morton presented the claims and reviewed budget. Mr. Morton made motion to approve the claims in the amount of $22,224.20 and seconded by Mr. McCreight. Motion passed unanimously Mr. Gill made motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:20 P.M. and seconded by Mr. McCreight. Our next meeting will be held on January 15, 2013.
