AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE PARKS ACTIVITIES NON - REVERTING FUND FOR THE
CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA AND REPEALING ORDINANCES 2010 -OR -58 AN
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING PARK TROLLEY OPERATIONS NON - REVERTING FUND, ORDINANCE
NO. 2008- OR -91A ESTABLISHING A CITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM NON - REVERTING FUND,
ORDINANCE NO. 92 -OR -30 ESTABLISHING A NON - REVERTING FUND FOR THE PURPOSES OF
DEVELOPING THE RIVERFRONT IN JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA AND ORDINANCE NO. 2006 -OR-
32 ESTABLISHING PARKS DEPARTMENT NON - REVERTING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council is the fiscal body of Jeffersonville, Indiana pursuant to
Indiana Code;
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville, established the Parks Authority under Ordinance
2008 -OR -004 as amended by Ordinance No. 2012- OR -22; and;
WHEREAS, I.C. 36- 1 -10 -22 permits the creation of a special, non - reverting operating
fund for the reasonable recreational activity fees, and;
WHEREAS, it is economically desirable to create such fund for the management of
certain monies charged by the Board as reasonable recreational activity fess and to provide for
the disbursement thereof and such collective fund will allow for some activities to be supported
from the excess revenue of other activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED:
1. A non - reverting operating fund (Fund 209) is hereby established for the purpose of
receiving and holding activity fees charged by Jeffersonville Parks and Recreation
Board for such activities but not limited to Youth Football, Softball, Aquatic Center,
Riverfront Park, Riverstage, Trolley Operations and Community Events.
2. The fund shall be entitled "Parks Activities Non - Reverting Fund" where all activity
fees collected from any Parks managed activities shall be deposited.
3. Furthermore, any donations, sponsorships and other related revenues supporting
such activities will likewise be deposited into the designated fund.
4. If such monies collected are not sufficient to support the operations of the Parks
Activities, the Common Council shall transfer funds from another fund to the extent
as permissible by law.
5. The monies may be expended from the fund by the filing of a proper claim in
issuance of a warrant for payment by the Fiscal Officer after appropriation by the
Board so long as such expenditures are for the benefit of the operations and
maintenance of the activities and the facilities which are designated for the use in
providing the activities.
6. The Fiscal Officer shall establish departments within the Parks Activities Fund to
assist in tracking the revenues and expenditures by major activity as recommended
by the Parks Authority and Superintendent.
7. All funds previously collected by Ordinances 2010- OR -58, 2008- OR -91A, 92 -OR -30
and 2006 -OR -32 shall be deposited in the "Parks Activities Non Reverting Fund."
8. All other provisions of Ordinances 2010- OR -58, 2008- OR -91A, 92 -OR -30 and 2006 -
OR-32 shall remain in effect with the exception the funds collected shall be
deposited into the "-aVon- Reverting Fund. ",

This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common
Council and approval by the Mayor.
