Amending 84-OR-102
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, that the Building Code of the City of
Jeffersonville as amended by Ordinance No. 84-0R-t02 be
further amended to state as follows:
CHAPTER 2 - Section 217- WOOD SHINGLES
Wood shingles shall not be used in the roofing of new
structures, the re-roofing of structures, or in any other
manner unless said wood shingles have been "fire
retardant" and proof of said treatment is provided in
writing from the manufacturer of the wood shingles to the
Building Commissioner. Prior to the use of any such wood
shingles, such proof must be provided to the Building
Commissioner and he must issue a permit specifically
allowing the use of these items.
