OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
October 31 2012
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:32 A.M. and on the call of roll were Councilperson
Lisa Gill and Public Works Coordinator Rick Lovan.
Also present was: Parks Superintendent Paul Northam, City Engineer Andy Crouch, WWTP Director
Len Ashack, Vehicle Maintenance Director Bubby Vissing, Planning and Zoning Director Shane
Corbin, Police Chief Chris Grimm, Controller Monica Harmon, Safety Director Mike Ogg, UEZ
Director Kelly Reed, Street Commissioner David Hosea, I.T. Director Matt Dyer, Storm Coordinator
Deb Ashack, Grant Writer Delynn Rutherford, Fire Chief Eric Hedrick, Building Commissioner Russ
Segraves, Redevelopment Director Rob Waiz, Animal Shelter Director Sarah Green, Corporation
Counsel Tom Lowe, H. R. Director Kim Calabro, City Attorney Les Merkley, and Deputy Clerk Erica
Burress.
Councilperson Gill made a motion to approve the October 24 2012 minutes with Mr. Lovan
seconding, passing on a vote of 3 -0.

OLD BUSINESS:
NONE
NEW BUSINESS:
1.) Steven Edwards - Building Movers LLC Moving Carico House: Mr. Edwards came
before the board requesting approval of a road closure and police presence in help
with moving a house for the Carico family at 222 West Chestnut Street the week of
November 14 2012. Mr. Edwards stated there are two route options both which
include West Chestnut ranging from either Mulberry Street to West Market or Pearl
Street to West Market. Mr. Edwards stated the moving of the house two blocks will
take 2 -3 hours with an additional 3 hours at the new site. The board requested
enough notice of which route will be used in order to give the Police notice as well
as being able to give the neighbors notice to not park on the streets. Mr. Edwards
agreed. Councilperson Gill made a motion to approve the street closure and police
escort with Mr. Lovan seconding, passing on a vote of 3 -0.
2.) Matt Dyer - Recycling old computer equipment: I.T. Director Matt Dyer asked for
board approval to get rid of some computer equipment that was either outdated or
damaged and useless to the city technology department. Mr. Dyer stated that he
will take it all to recycling. Councilperson Gill made a motion to approve, with Mr.
Lovan seconding, passing on a vote of 3 -0.
3.) Vicki Conlin- Historic Landmarks Contract: City Clerk Vicki Conlin came before the
board requesting approval of a contract with Historic Landmarks. Mrs. Conlin stated
that a claim was pulled by the council so that the contract could be approved prior
to payment. Mrs. Conlin stated that it is the same contract from previous years and

was brought to the city in the beginning of 2012 but was never signed. Mr. Merkley
announced that Historic Landmarks provides a lot of assistance to the City.
Councilperson Gill made a motion to approve the contract with Historic Landmarks,
with Mr. Lovan seconding, passing g on a vote of 3 -0.
4.) Tom Lowe- Ameresco Usage History: Mr. Lowe asked for board authorization for
him to sign a customer billing and usage history release form to give the City
information regarding past data. Mr. Lowe stated it is a free service and is asking
authorization with the removal of the line that stated "I any responsible for any
fees." Councilperson Gill made a motion to authorize Tom Lowe to sign the billing
and usage history release form contingent on the removal of the line that states "I
am responsible for any fees." Mr. Lovan seconded, passing on a vote of 3 -0.
5.) Tom Lowe- Police Merit Vote: Mr. Lowe stated that he received report from Jason
Jackson that Dennis Henry was the name voted into the commission by the majority
of officers present. Mr. Lowe stated that he was receiving this report per the rules
adopted by the board. Police Chief Grim stated that the other nomination pulled his
name from the ballot prior to voting.
Councilperson Gill made a motion to adjourn at 9:53 A.M. with Mr. Lovan -- onding, passing
unanimously.
