FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE

A RESOLUTION TO GIVE NOTICE
OF PROPOSED REDUCTIONS IN THE 2012 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Common Council (hereinafter "Council ") is the fiscal
body for the City of Jeffersonville (hereinafter "City ");
WHERAS, the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance has directed the City
to reduce its annual 2012 budget;
WHEREAS, Indiana law requires changes in the budget to be published;
WHEREAS, a special meeting of the Council is required following publication of the
proposed changes;
WHEREAS, the Co J'ce� 18, Gold.
Council wishes to conduct a special meeting on June 1', 2012 at 7:00
p.m. to consider whether an emergency exists for the passage of an ordinance making reductions
to the annual budget adopted by the City for the fiscal year 2012;
WHEREAS, the Council has determined the following reductions per attachment A
should be published pursuant to Indiana law and considered:
Fund Amount Requested
General Fund Reduction (Series Detail Attached): $ 2,007,650.00
Parks Fund Reduction (Series Detail Attached): $ 294,000.00
Sanitation Fund Reduction (Series Detail Attached): $ 155,000.00
Redevelopment Fund Reduction (Series Detail Attached): $ 43,400.00

WHEREAS, the Council desires the Clerk of the City to effectuate publication of the
proposed budget reductions pursuant to Indiana law;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Jeffersonville Common
Council directs the • f Jeffersonville to give notice to the public, pursuant to
Indiana law, of the aforementione meeting and proposed cuts to the 2012 fiscal year budget
previously adopted.
